Abstract
In this paper we proposed system to monitor indoor air quality in gymnasium "Gjon Buzuku" advanced secondary School. This proposed system will collect indoor air quality information via sensors using IoT (Internet of Things) and save it to the database using web API. The information collected will be able to be monitored from anywhere via the web and smartphones in real-time. Also, we analyze indoor air quality (IAQ) in school classrooms in Gymnasium "Gjon Buzuku", Prizren. In detail, we try to investigate the differences in IAQ parameters when students were at school and when they were not. We have installed IAQ sensors nodes at school and have collected 18,608 observations for 14 days from Jun-14th to Jun-27th, 2021. We have tested the correlation among all variables and correlation analysis showed that all variables are correlated with each other. Using regression analysis, we have empirically tested that temperature can decrease the humidity level. Finally, we tested the differences between days when students were at school and when students were not, consequently when windows were opened during the day’s students were at school and when windows were closed during the days when students were not at school. The results of the independent sample t-test confirmed the differences in all IAQ parameters according to whether windows were opened or closed.
