Abstract

This paper presents the signal-slot communication mechanism (SCM) between objects to design an effective embedded GUI with object-oriented characteristic under the C environment. It focuses on message driven module of GUI universal infrastructure which includes the object model subsystem, the preprocessing at the compiling time and the objects' communication at the running time in target platform. Moreover, the embedded GUI using SCM has been verified through the prototype (HGUI) on SC344B0X ARM7 evaluation board.
