The author studies some military‑politcal and economic aspects of the changes in Russian‑South Korean relatons. The artcle analyses the statements of President Yoon Seok‑ yeol, elected on March 9, 2022, who already before his electon showed his traditonal commitment to the USA. South Korean researchers think that Kim Jong‑un may follow Russia's example in relaton to South Korea, therefore, in their opinion, the new president needs to head for strengthening the US‑South Korean alliance.
