The Article reviews the economic policy of Turkey’s ruling Justice & Development Party. We’ll see, that, contrary to the Islamic tenets, which it is bound to espouse, the Party has been making the country ever more dependent on the external sources of finance. On the one hand, the inflow of the foreign capital has fostered the rapid economic growth. But on the other hand, Turkey already is and obviously, will continue to be hostage to increased dependence on the inflow/outflow of funds from the outside.

An important part of the current world's energy transition is the emergence of the electricity storage sector in the energy complex, which rationalizes and optimizes energy production, transportation, distribution and consumption making operation of grids stable, economical and safe. Energy storage is actually an alternative to construction of new power stations. When developed, the energy storage sector will give oriental countries an opportunity to avoid braking the accelerated economic growth of their backward energy sector as compared to leading industries. New productive forces in energy will make it possible to substantially reduce the negative consequences of the shortage of some energy resources as well as put an end to «energy curse».

For a decade, the Shanghai port has retained the world’s leading positions not only in terms of economic indicators, but also in terms of equipping the port facilities with the latest achievements of science and technology. Due to its advantageous geographical position since ancient times, it has been an important port for external transport and internal trade of China. Shanghai was historically destined to become the world’s largest transshipment base. But natural factors bear fruit only in the presence of a competent and planned economic policy. The economic success of the port in recent years has been preparing for many decades. Anthropogenic factors, namely the reform and restructuring of the economic system, attracting foreign capital, advanced foreign technologies and management methods, accelerated the development of the port. Technological progress, globalization and political will have made the port the world’s largest industrial port complex. This article is devoted to the analysis of modern achievements and the prospects for the further development of the port of Shanghai.

The article highlights the problem of the impact of the «Black Sea Grain Initiative» on the food situation in the world 10 months after its signing. The positive and controversial issues for Russia and the poorest countries of the world community that arose during the implementation of the initiative are evaluated. Quantitative estimates of food exports under the «Black Sea Grain Initiative» and their distribution by country are given. The strongest unevenness of the export of food products from Ukraine is shown both by composition and by host countries. The characteristics and leading factors of the modern global food crisis are given. An attempt is made to show to what extent the conclusion of the «Black Sea Grain Initiative» has had an impact on the global food crisis, manifested in the constant increase of the hungry population in the world. The food crisis was caused by deep macroeconomic disturbances in the global agro-industrial complex, including asymmetric globalization, intensification of interfaith and regional conflicts, slowing economic growth, increasing inequality, degradation of resources for agricultural production. As a result, the «Black Sea Grain Initiative» did not have a significant impact on the global food crisis.

The trend in the South Korean media continues to be one-sided coverage of the conflict in Ukraine, condemning Russia's position and supporting the policies of a number of Western countries led by the United States. This is due both to the strategy of the new administration of President Yoon Seok Yeul to strengthen the military-political alliance with Washington, to support the latter's position on a number of foreign policy issues, and to the conscious selective information approach to covering both the special military operation itself and its political and diplomatic context. After the protracted nature of the conflict became apparent, the focus of attention turned to publications covering a wider range of issues, such as the economic consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict for the global economy, as well as the possible worsening of Russian-South Korean relations. The emphasis gradually shifted to the area of military confrontation in potentially explosive regions, one of which is the Korean Peninsula.

The DPRK has become one of the few countries in the world to officially support Russia's special military operaton in Ukraine. In the vote on UN General Assembly Resoluton ES‑11/1, Aggression against Ukraine, adopted on March 2, 2022, the DPRK was one of fve countries (including Russia) that voted against condemning Moscow's acton. Pyongyang immediately strongly supported Russia and emphasized its full understanding of the reasons for taking such a step. The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Afairs of the Republic on February 26, 2022, which dealt with the operaton itself, stressed «US actons that 'ignore' Russia's security interests are the root cause of the Ukrainian crisis». It pointed out, «The root cause of the Ukrainian crisis also lies in the willfulness and arbitrariness of the United States, which has clung exclusively to unilateral sanctons and pressure, pursuing only global hegemony and military superiority, ignoring Russia's legitmate demand for its security». This positon was further elaborated in a series of Foreign Ministry documents, including March 14, 2022, about which Western media reported with surprise that North Korea contnued to defend Russian positons in Moscow's war against Ukraine, accusing the US of further exacerbatng the crisis by providing Kiev with «large‑scale military aid». Given the current realites of the DPRK politcal system, it is obvious that the populaton of the country is also informed accordingly, and the reacton of public opinion in the country regarding the current crisis around Ukraine is aimed at supportng the Russian line on this issue.

The advent of high-speed rail reflects the developments in transportation that accompanies the new phase of the industrial revolution. In the article, the author analyzes the features of the construction and operation of high-speed railways in the countries of the East. Special attention is paid to the use of foreign technologies and investments.
