Abstract
As the reflection coefficients of the horizontal and vertical polarized electromagnetic waves are different, the polarization state of the reflected wave changes compared to the incident wave. The polarization characteristics of the reflected wave of lossless and lossy half space are studied in this paper, and the characteristics of the reflected wave polarization state on the Poincare Sphere are given and analyzed. The results of this study are expected to provide reliable theoretical basis for the introduction of the incident source in half space electromagnetic problem.
