Abstract

A novel spirality compact microstrip resonators cell (SCMRC) is ameliorated and the miniaturized and dual-band filter of substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) based on SCMRC is designed. The filter has a passband between 3.46-3.71GHz and minishes cutoff frequency of SIW, so the filter achieves miniaturization. Besides, the filter occurs another passband between 5.84-5.91GHz, the second passband can be adjusted by changing the space between two paired SCMRCs. The good agreement between the measured results and the simulated results demonstrates that the design of miniaturized and dual-band filter of SIW based on SCMRC is effective.
