Development of a middleware for exploring practicality of IEEE 1451 protocol family 开发用于探索IEEE 1451协议族实用性的中间件

The interfaces of NCAP and physical sensor network have been realized on the IEEE 1451 middleware for exploring their practicality of IEEE 1451 protocol family based on the well-developed CANOpen and Zigbee. The functions of IEEE 1451 middleware have request-reply command translation, node discovery, surveillance, failure diagnosis, and break detection to simplify the transducer data access for NCAP application tasks. The proposed IEEE 1451 middleware can eventually integrate the existent sensor network to extend the coverage of IEEE 1451 protocol family.

A preconditioner for surface integral equation formulations of dielectric problems 介电问题表面积分方程公式的预条件

Discretizations of surface integral equation (SIE) formulations of dielectric problems yield 2 × 2 partitioned linear systems. Due to the different scales between electric and magnetic fields along with equivalent currents, different parts of the partitioned impedance matrices show very difference in amplitude which lead to the imbalance between the partitions. The imbalance usually results in very high condition numbers which make the matrices highly ill-conditioned, then a series of problems will come up such as slow convergence of iterative solvers or descending of accuracy. The preconditioner with a complexity of O(N) presented in this paper could balance the elements and improve the condition numbers of the matrices without modifying the underlying SIE formulations.

60-GHz aperture-coupled crossed dipoles backed by tapered elliptical cavity for circular polarization with wide axial-ratio beamwidth 宽轴比波束宽圆偏振的60 ghz锥形椭圆腔背接的孔径耦合交叉偶极子

A cavity-backed crossed dipoles for circularly polarized (CP) radiation is presented. To improve the 3-dB axial ratio (AR) beamwidth and the broadside gain, a tapered elliptical cavity is introduced. The proposed antenna uses substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) as its feeder. The crossed dipoles is coupled-fed by a transverse slot on the top metallic surface of the SIW. Simulations show that the antenna can present a bandwidth from 56.1 to 62.5 GHz for a reflection coefficient S11 ≤ -10 dB as well as for an axial ratio (AR) =≤3 dB, and a high broadside gain of around 10.4 dBi on average is achieved. Meanwhile, the wide 3-dB AR beamwidth on all azimuth planes can be achieved. This design yields good directional radiation patterns and low fabrication cost.

In this paper, thin and broadband absorber of two layers consisting of high impedance ground plane (HIGP) is introduced. By controlling the phase characteristics and the resonant frequency of the HIGP, the performance of the Salisbury screen absorber can be enhanced. The equivalent circuit model is then used for results prediction and explanation of the working principles of the thin and the wideband absorbing structure.

A new high precision Range Vernier method for phase-coded radar 相位编码雷达高精度距离游标新方法

Range measurement with high precision is of profound significance to improve the ability of detection and discrimination for radar. This paper addresses the range measurement of midcourse targets with high velocity based on phase-coded radar. Firstly, the principle of Range Vernier is introduced, and the characteristics of the phase-coded signal are analyzed. And then, a new method for high precision Range Vernier is proposed to process the radar echoes, in which matched filter and phase ambiguity unwrapping algorithm are designed specially. Finally, the simulations demonstrate the performance of the method.

Numerical simulations of electromagnetic time-reversal imaging 电磁逆时成像的数值模拟

Time reversal methods are particularly useful for imaging of targets. There are three main schemes to fulfill the time-reversal imaging: iterative time reversal mirror (ITRM), time reversal operator decomposition (DORT), and time reversal multiple signal classification (TR-MUSIC). In this paper, imaging methodology of the DORT and TR-MUSIC is outlined, and then numerical simulations for one ideal point-like target and two close targets are conducted. Results show that the TR-MUSIC scheme outperforms the DORT approach, especially in situations that well-resolvedness criterion is not met.

Design of an ultra-wideband power sensor based on zero-bias diodes 基于零偏二极管的超宽带功率传感器设计

This paper reports on the design and experiment of an ultra-wideband power sensor from 0.01GHz to 67GHz based on discrete zero-bias diodes. Emphasis is on the design of the matching circuits using a smart method. Other details such as the choice of diodes and the implementation of the microwave front end are also discussed. High performance has been achieved across the frequency band desired, which shows that the method is feasible.

A new method to design compact multi-band filters with enhanced selectivity 一种设计高选择性紧凑多带滤波器的新方法

A new method to design multi-band filters is proposed by inserting electric and magnetic resonances to increase the selectivity of the lower and upper edge of the passband. A dual-band filter composed of regular hexagon cascaded complementary split rings resonator pairs (RH-CCSRRP) and regular hexagon cascaded complementary ring resonator (RH-CRR) are designed. Simultaneously, the proposed filter has been detailed investigated by the method of electromagnetic (EM) parameters extraction process. For verification of the new method, a tri-band filter is designed. The results show that both the filters have a good performance of compact dimensions, which is only 0.19 λg × 0.14 λg, low insertion loss and sharp selectivity.

Design of frequency-detecting device based on rectenna 基于整流天线的频率检测装置设计

A frequency-detecting device based on a rectenna is presented. The rectenna is mainly composed of a frequency reconfigurable microstrip antenna, a rectifying circuit, and a low pass filter. The operating frequency of the antenna can be tuned in the range between 2 and 2.8 GHz, and, in this frequency range, the rectifier can effectively perform the conversion from RF to DC. From the measured results of the broadband rectenna, the average conversion efficiency and output DC voltage are 67 % and 4 V, respectively. A frequency-detecting device is implemented by integrating the rectenna with a preprogrammable microprocessor, and its frequency resolution is about 20 MHz.

Wideband dual-polarized printed dipole antenna with high isolation 高隔离的宽带双极化印刷偶极子天线

A wideband dual-polarized printed dipole antenna with high isolation is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna is composed of a horizontal substrate, a horizontal ground plane and two vertical substrates. The two vertical substrates are mounted orthogonally between the horizontal substrate and the horizontal ground plane. Four triangular patches are printed on the bottom side of the upper horizontal substrate symmetrically. Moreover, four vertical rectangular patches, which have the same center of symmetry as the triangular patches, are connected to the triangular patches and ground plane, respectively. Each two of the four rectangular patches are printed on one side of each vertical substrate that an integrated balun printed on the other side. The proposed antenna achieves a port isolation higher than 39dB over 52% impendence bandwidth (VSWR<;1.5). The antenna is easy to be extended to arrays and can be used for base station antennas in the next generation IMT-Advanced communications.
