Abstract

Solid-state microwave generators represent the most promising enabler technology for advanced applications aiming at accurate thermal profile engineering, a typical target of demanding Industrial, Scientific and Medical applications. Modular and scalable hardware architectures, accompanied by distributed software systems, have been conceived to allow scientists, researchers and process engineers to develop innovative heating processes thanks to accurate shaping capability of the emitted microwave field.
