Abstract

The essence of human life is happiness and contentment. Happiness is a state of mind devoid of any conflict, pain, anxiety, and apprehension. The human mind hosts cluster of thoughts. The thought process of the mind influences the activity of the brain and the body. Positive thoughts bring creativity, love, peace, and sanctity while the negative thoughts results to crime, hatred, terror, violence, and unhappiness. Thoughts related to past make you happy or unhappy and the future related thoughts are a cause of anxiety. Insignificant thoughts are the garbage in the mind, and we can say that various unnecessary thoughts are the cause of unhappiness and negativity. Channelizing the thoughts in a certain manner can ensure a state of “Sat Chitta Anand” (Eternally Blissful Mind) at individual level, and a collective state of EBM is the spectrum for Global peace and harmony. In this paper we propose a process that we define as “RISE” (Relax, Integrate, Stop and Expand) for transformation of the thoughts leading to the natural state of mind i.e. happiness. Orthographically, the word Chitta (or sometimes written as Chitta) is a Sanskrit word which means “mind”.
