Abstract
The letter presents a new active-matrix light-emitting diode (AMLED) pixel circuit which breaks the limit that the PWM driving method combined with internal compensation is difficult to obtain the high-bit display. Based on a 10 row panel of 240 Hz, the bit is obviously improved from 3 bits to 8 bits by means of attaching another TFT to divide the equal sub-field of PWM into unequal one. Moreover, simulation results of the proposed 6T2C circuit demonstrate that the current error ratio is below 5.4% (@ Δ Vth = ± 3 V), indicating that this proposed 6T2C circuit is suitable for improving the bits and stability of display system.
