Abstract
We propose and demonstrate a referencing scheme for dual-wavelength differential detection of tilted fiber Bragg grating sensors that compensates for drift in the laser diode wavelength and dynamic chirp, and results in 40 fm rms stability, and a refractive index change limit of detection of $3 \times 10 ^{-6}$.
