This algorithm operates in the presence of large frequency or phase errors and offers a significant reduction in complexity. With the aid of simulation, we analyze the performance of the proposed time estimator for a frequency nonselective Rayleigh fading channel for M-ary PAM modulation scheme. It is shown here that the performance of the M-ary PAM system which utilizes the proposed algorithm parallels that of a receiver with perfect synchronization. Abstract
