El desafío de la presencialidad a la virtualidad en la educación superior en tiempos de pandemia

Abstract

Faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, economies are shutting down and paralyze, and societies face rigid sanitary measures such as social isolation, with its own effects; p. e.g. suspension of clases face-to-face (which is a necessary protection measure for all students and teachers). We live moments of uncertainty and we do not have answer for everything, but acceleration in virtualization is evident. This phenomenon has made it possible to sustain personal communications, entertainment activities in homes and, in education, expands the infodemic, with a heterogeneity of information across the resources virtual and technological available for the teaching-learning process; However, unequal access has exposed the profound inequity that exists among students (Gallo, 2020), observing a digital divide high among the richest and poorest quintiles.
