Abstract

Software is increasingly becoming a central issue in low power consumer based system. The amount of energy consumed by software has severe battery impact on the system. Minimizing power consumption is one of the primary challenges that today's developers faces due to lack of instrumentation functionality in the system. This tutorial will cover different prospect of energy usage and energy aware software design in system ranging from notebooks to smartphones/tablets.
