The participants in this study were ninth-grade students and their English teacher. This research applied qualitative design. The data was gathered through observation during online learning in Google Classroom, student’s task and the interview process. Based on the data, the process of using Line Webtoon for ninth graders was successfully upgraded the students’ vocabulary mastery and motivation to read through online comic. Abstract

Vocabulary is the key for the learners’ language change in learning as a foreign language including English. 利用连环画提高学生的词汇掌握能力
在包括英语在内的外语学习中,词汇是学习者语言变化的关键。然而,印尼学生在词汇积累方面仍然存在问题,特别是在记忆生词的意思方面。这一事实意味着他们需要有效的方法来学习词汇。运用有效的词汇教学方法来帮助学生提高词汇的掌握水平将更加有益。在词汇教学中使用相关媒体也会提高学生的学习动机。本研究的目的是揭示如何使用连网漫画来教授词汇,学生的词汇掌握情况,以及学生对使用连网漫画的反应。本研究的参与者是九年级学生和他们的英语老师。本研究采用定性设计。数据的收集是通过观察在谷歌课堂的在线学习,学生的任务和面试过程。基于数据,九年级学生在使用连环画的过程中,成功提升了学生的词汇掌握水平和通过连环画进行阅读的动机。这也表明学生们对阅读很感兴趣,因为网络漫画由许多图片组成,他们可以通过网络媒体获得许多新单词。
