Abstract

The goal of this work is to evaluate the performance of routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) in the presence of various rate control algorithms at the data link layer and to identify the optimal rate control algorithms (RCA) for enhancing efficiency or quality of service of mobile ad hoc networks. They are self-configuring networks that lack a fixed infrastructure structure, and routing is crucial to their operation.
