Abstract

The design of the IPv6 protocol includes mechanisms that fix issues encountered in IPv4 networks and provides new features and capabilities. Many of these features enhance the end-to-end performance of converged IP-based networks, and QoS improvements are usually listed as a major advantage of IPv6.
