Abstract

Resonance scattering of the radiation due to an electric dipole source by a cylindrical decreased-density duct aligned with an external static magnetic field in a magnetoplasma is studied. It is shown that such a source located in the outer region of the duct can excite its plasmon resonances as well as the resonance at the plasma frequency of the outer region. In addition, previously unrevealed resonances of the excited field, which are related to appearance of complex modes of the duct, are discussed.
