Electrical grade applies to insulating tapes that are manufactured by processes which minimize or eliminate contaminants that may cause electrolyte corrosion. Insulating tapes are constructed of materials which balance the electrical and mechanical requirements of a specific application. The tapes must remain physically and chemically stable in the presence of heat, humidity, and electrical stress.
