Abstract

The power of series hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is supplied by the battery, which is charged by the engine. In order to reduce the fuel consumption, the efficiency of the conversion device should be improved, one way is making the engine working in the high efficiency zone. The drive power management, control strategy and distribution of the engine high efficiency region are the most effective factors. Therefore, through the optimization design of the energy management and control strategy, we can make the engine always working in the ideal region to achieve the goal of series hybrid electric vehicle engine performance and reduce fuel consumption.
