The results of morphometric measurements Selangat fish have a total length range 13.0 – 15.4 cm and standard length 10.5 – 11.8 cm, while the results of the meristic character calculation the dorsal fin which consists of 7 - 8 hard fingers and 8 – 9 weak fingers. Molecular identification the COI gene of the Selangat fish species is Anodontostoma chacunda. Abstract

Selangat fish is one of the species with economic value and is the main culinary in the annual festival part of cultural coastal communities in the area of Tukak Sadai District, South Bangka Regency. Study on the identification of morphological and molecular characters of Selangat fish was conducted to determine the species of Selangat fish caught in the waters of the South Bangka Regency.
