Abstract
A suitable connection between measurement structures and statistical structures is suggested. It is pointed out that, under appropriate conditions, invariant statistics, which include invariant test statistics and equivariant estimators, are comparison invariant in the measurement-theoretic sense. Examples of invariant functions used in statistics are discussed.
