Abstract
In this paper, a new solution, in which the ordinary rectangular patches are replaced by hexagonal patches, is proposed to decrease return loss and mutual coupling in microstrip array antennas. To have an array antenna with the least amounts of return loss and mutual coupling, the patch parameters and feed line parameters are obtained using an enhanced genetic algorithm.
