Abstract

By spanning a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel using multiple transmitters and receivers, we are able to employ antenna diversity schemes for increasing the reliability of communication systems in industrial production plants. In this work, we show our first experimental results of a maximal ratio combining (MRC) analog circuitry. This MRC circuitry is shown to work for a 15.625 MBd QPSK transmission over synthesized MIMO channels emulating those observed in real production plants.
