Abstract

Oil debris monitoring (ODM) is a significant technique for contaminate particle detection in real time for hydraulic systems. Current radial magnetic oil debris detector only provide the acceptable debris detection accuracy under the single particle. When two or more debris particles are generated in the oil and they pass through the debris sensor, the aliasing effects occur in detection signal and the error will be introduced. This paper presents a new debris monitoring structure based on two or more debris sensors. Through cross signal processing, this paper separates the mixed signal of oil debris monitoring and gives the accurate contamination particle detection. Simulation results indicate that the proposed mixed signal separation method is effective to identify and separate debris aliasing signal.
