Abstract
This paper presents the development of a Node Sensor for sensing environmental variables in a Building and control the lighting system and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) with the objective of reducing the energy consumption in these two systems. A BEMS (Building Energy Management System) is a control system of the principal energy consumption sources for energy savings. The node sensor is capable of measuring temperature, humidity and lighting through an LM35 temperature sensor, a DHT11 humidity and temperature sensor and a BH1750FVI ambient light sensor. All sensors are connected to an Atmega328p microprocessor with a program for receive all the sensor signals, also the microprocessor are connected to an XBEE module for communication purpose with a Raspberry Pi. The main objective of this development is sensing environmental variables with digital and analogical sensors connected with a control system for turn on, turn off the lights, and control the set points of the HVAC equipments.
