Abstract
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the IoTofHealth'16 workshop co-located with The 14th ACM International Conference on Mobile Systems, Applications, and Services. Internet of things (IoT) enabled healthcare segment is expected to hit $117 billion by 2020. This workshop focuses on bringing to the fore the key research challenges, systems, devices, and methods to enable the "IoT of Health" vision. The workshop will include discussions on different perspectives emerging from designing low-level sensors/devices, inference/analytics on sensing data, along with intelligent persuasive interventions/feedback techniques.
The call for papers attracted submissions from many countries including India, Japan, Singapore, and the United States. The final workshop program consists of selected papers & posters, invited talks, and the keynote talks. The selected workshop papers and invited talks will provide an understanding of the state-of-art technologies in realizing "IoT of Health" vision whereas the keynote talks will provide better understanding of its future w.r.t. academic research and industrial challenges.
