Abstract

This paper contributes to the investigations related to the future development of the power transmission system in Europe. In particular, the impact on the developed panEuropean zonal model due to the power flows through HVAC (High Voltage Alternating Current) and HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) corridors from/to the neighboring eastern and southern regions is analysed in a 2030 time horizon.
