In this sense, progress is made in the description of the production and reproduction logics of the city that have influenced this irregular settlement of the western zone of Montevideo, taking as reference some of the conceptual contributions of several authors, among them, Abramo, referred to the production of urban structure in Latin American cities in recent decades (Abramo, 2012, p. 36). In this regard, it should be made clear that the production of Latin American cities has been the result of the operation and conjunction of three logics of social coordination: Market, State, and the Logic of Necessity.
