Reassessing the H in Human-Computer Interaction

Abstract

We present the motivation and the organizational aspects of a discussion panel organized within the framework of MexIHC 2022 – The Ninth Mexican International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction. As the panel title suggests, the discussions revolve around the human aspects of HCI. As such, topics of discussion include ethics, legal issues, diversity and inclusion, and decolonizing perspectives, among others. Both our panelists come from different academic backgrounds, covering the main themes: technology and society.
