Conventional beamforming networks like Butler matrices, Blass matrices, Rotman lens networks, and conventional adaptive arrays are very favorable. Meanwhile, use of multi-element antennas associated with the implementation of advanced algorithms are the backbone of efficacy of spatial processing. Beamforming of phased arrays and MIMOs could be utilized to develop antennas that operate in urban or suburban areas. Meanwhile, high gain and super directive repeaters have been designed to extend coverage to rural areas as well.
