Abstract

We consider the standardized Force Concept Inventory (FCI) test to be a very useful tool for determining the level of students' knowledge of Physics (Kinematics and Dynamics) and identifying the level of Newtonian mechanics understanding. The evaluation of conceptions before starting the students study at the university, that mean before beginning of semester, by using FCI pretest results can help lecturers to organize physics teaching processes better and it can help students to eliminate misconceptions.
