В статье рассматриваются вопросы, касающиеся понятия и значения личного сыска в раскрытии преступлений. Показаны преимущества его применения в раскрытии преступлений, выявлены отличительные признаки личного сыска от других методов оперативно-розыскной деятельности. Определены основные требования, которыми должны руководствоваться сотрудники оперативных подразделений в процессе личного сыска при применении тех или иных средств и методов.
