Abstract
Service economy plays a significant role in Hubei province which is the bellwether of `the Rise of Central China'. This paper focuses on the rules of development of service industry in Hubei province. Meanwhile, the stages of the development and evolution of the service industry have been divided to describe the characteristics of the service industries. In addition, the problems existing in the development of service in Hubei are analyzed, and some recommendations have been proposed to promote the development of service industry in accordance with actual status.
