The purpose of this research is to develop a robot that can identify and neutralize explosive devices. The Metal Detector Robot is a device that searches an area for metal, including landmines, under the control of an Android-based smartphone. Because of the potential for injury or death associated with landmine use, detectors are essential. Using direct sweeping, an antiquated approach for locating landmines, puts the sweeper's feet in grave danger. In this research, a metal detector is built into the robot system to help detect the presence of metal through the use of coil induction when the robot approaches the metal. The LCD interface shows the metal detection rates. The robot moves thanks to a DC motor controlled by a program running on an Arduino UNO. When the robot detects metal, it will sound a buzzer and show the frequency on an LCD screen.
