Abstract

The article is devoted to the problems of the development of Russian-Japanese international cooperation in the political, administrative, economic and humanitarian spheres on the example of the Irkutsk region in the second decade of the 21th century. The implementation of bilateral ties is considered through the application of a functional approach in the theory of integration and the concepts of neorealism and rational actor.
