Abstract

Aiming to introduce a new guiding structure, this work presents dually polarized gap waveguide (DPGWG) operating in transverse electromagnetic (TEM) mode. To show the proof of concept, two waveports are connected at the ends of waveguide and transmission (for both horizontal and vertical polarization) is observed. Electric field distribution at two different cross sections shows that the proposed design supports TEM mode with uniform field distribution.
