Abstract

Taiwan has suffered from debris flow disaster in the past decade. Potential debris flow has increased from 485 streams in 1991, to as high as 1719 streams now. These natural disasters affected villages and the safety of Taiwanese residents. As a result, it is necessary to look into more debris flow relevant researches and analytical work.This paper is investigating debris flow streams and analyzing the characteristic of particle river bed. Through the use of fractal theory, we are able to figure out debris flow stream's fractal quantized value.
