Abstract

This article is intended to apply the reproducing kernel Hilbert space method (RKHSM) for solving a third order differential equation with multiple characteristics in a rectangular domain. The exact solution is expressed in form of series. The convergence of the iterative method to find the approximate solution is proven. Some numerical examples are studied to demonstrate the accuracy of the present method. Results obtained by the method are compared with the exact solution of each example which are found to be in good agreement with each other.
