Abstract

Pulsed electroacoustic method (PEA) is a non-destructive and efficient method for measuring space charge, which has been widely used internationally. With the continuous improvement of measurement requirements, pulse electroacoustic method has gradually evolved some novel measurement methods, such as two-dimension PEA, three-dimension PEA, portable PEA, PEA in multilayer dielectric, etc. The principle of above methods is introduced, and the advantages and disadvantages of each method are summarized and analyzed in this paper. The development direction of pulse electroacoustic method is clarified, and the improvement ideas for future research are proposed.
