Abstract

In spite of the globalization and high customer demand, the performance of a company is evaluated by means of value for money created at the least cost. As a critical component of the supply chain, warehouses are faced with immense pressure to fulfil the above expectation. However, major part of this challenge can only be influenced at the design of a warehouse. Many studies have been published on the diverse set of approaches in optimizing a warehouse design; however, these lack practical attributes. Therefore, the objective of this paper is twofold.
