In this paper, we propose a hosted private storage architecture based on COSA (Cloud Object Storage Appliance) and CAKE (Cloud Application Kernel Environment). In this architecture, each appliance hosted in a data center with Internet connectivity, storage pool and hypervisor(s); and a portal machine can provide self-service and monitoring features to enterprise and application service provider.
