Abstract

Results of compact X-band AESA's radiator and antenna curtain design are presented. Instead of open-end waveguides, printed dipole radiating elements are implemented which increases technological effectiveness of the array antenna and allows its length and weight reduction. The new radiator's topology is presented, results of numerical simulation and calculated characteristics are discussed, and comparison with the currently used open-end waveguide radiator is provided.
