The scattering patterns formation features of the cylindrically curved digital 1 bit azimuthally coded anisotropic meta-covers are considered in the paper. The simulation results (using HFSS) of mono- and bistatic RCSs on co- and cross-polarizations within the frequency range from 8 to 19 GHz for models with different small azimuthal size (relative to the wavelength) of 1 bit modules are given. The modules are consisted of meta-particles as figure-eights arranged on a thin shielded substrate. The scattered field phasing phenomenon when the RCS of meta-covers on co- and cross-polarizations becomes higher than the RCS of the reference metallic cylinder on co-polarization is investigated. The physical interpretation of the effect mechanism is demonstrated.

The problem of the scattering of a plane electromagnetic wave on an ideally conducting plate with rounded edges is considered. To solve the problem, the proposed hybrid method is used combining the method of eigen functions, successive diffraction and the principle of equivalence. A comparison was made of the calculation results by the hybrid method, the method of moments and the Kirchhoff method.

We present for the first time experimental results concerning the features and behaviors of the X-mode small-scale artificial field-aligned irregularities from bi-static scatter observations with using oblique sounding observations at the Sweden – Gorkovskaya radio path. The distinctive features of the signals scattered from artificial field-aligned irregularities excited by the extraordinary polarized HF pump waves are analyzed.

The investigation of four-way cylindrical helix antenna for applications in high-precision field of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) was presented in the article. A comparison of the proposed antenna with the classical approach of reducing multipath in the form of choke ring structure was produced. It is shown that it is possible to use the antenna in high-precision measurements without the bulky and heavy choke ring structures. The conclusions about the application of the antenna in navigation area were made.

In the paper, the reflection coefficients for non-uniform anisotropic imedance surface, that reflects several incident plane waves simultaneously into a required number of chosen directions with co-polarization and cross-polarization are derived for the first time. The impedance is introduced as a dense lattice of orthogonal stripes, which are placed closely to each other and are oriented arbitrarily on the surfaces. Expressions for the scattering diagrams are derived.

In the paper, problem of existence of electromagnetic waves inside a rotating spherical cavity is formulated and solved rigorously. Boundary conditions and impedance boundary conditions on the cavity walls are formulated for oscillations of E-field. Expressions for the split oscillations are derived and analyzed. The possibility of generation of magnetic field due to equivalent gravitational field is analyzed.

Frequency-invariant arrays are widely used in communication systems, audio processing and radar. For this applications wideband beam steering with FIR-filters is required. The paper presents a fixed frequency-invariant beamforming method. Proposed method allows beam steering and it does not require minimizing functions or the Fourier transform. The proposed approach is based on the usage of frequency properties of arrays and allows finding real coefficients of FIR-filters.

Computer simulation of planar phased arrays of air-filled slotted waveguide antennas has been performed for rectangular and single-ridge waveguides to compare their radiation patterns. The simulation has shown that for both arrays radiation pattern exhibits a second-order beam for non-frontal main beam directions. However, this disadvantage is much smaller for ridged array than for rectangular one. Thus, it can be suggested that the use of ridged waveguides can increase the range of angular scanning.
