Abstract
Mikhail Karp was born in Transnistria. He is a former professional military officer who, during the war in Afghanistan, was in charge of the catering of the combatant personnel. Eventually he fought briefly in Herat where he experience his first baptism by fire. Informally, because of his talent as a painter and scenographer, he was frequently asked by the military to create museums and exhibitions.
