The results showed there was relationship between mother’s education (p = 0,0001), mother’s knowledge (p = 0,0001), frequency of attendance to posyandu (p = 0,0001) with nutritional status. There was no relationship between the mother's occupation (p = 0,196) with nutritional status. The conclusion of this research was the characteristics of mothers and the attendance of children under five years to the posyandu are indirect factors that affect the nutritional status.
