Abstract

Underwater imaging is an emerging area of research. The underwater image suffers degradation due to scattering and absorption. To overcome these issues, the acquired images are adjusted using color balance and then corrected using white balance. Common methods available for white balance are Retinex and Gray world. In this work, proposing Gray world technique for white balance. From the corrected image, weight maps-based feature extraction would be done followed by multi fusion and image enhancement.
