Abstract

The Department of National Defence owns and operates an extensive real property portfolio. The effective management of such a large infrastructure portfolio is a critical enabler for Canadian Armed Forces operations. The research is designed to establish a foundation of relevant factors and tradeoffs behind infrastructure prioritization, providing a full and balanced perspective for decision makers in their deliberations on the resources allocation going forward. This is intended to inform decision makers by defining a reasonable starting point for any specific future infrastructure rationalization effort.
