Abstract

This paper presents a new absorber to suppress the aperture-cavity resonance. The absorber consists of two nested metal square rings which can absorb high frequency and low frequency electromagnetic wave, respectively. The simulation results demonstrate that the shielding effectiveness of the cavity which is loaded with the absorber can be improved. At its first and second resonant frequencies, the shielding effectiveness can be increased by about 35dB and 16dB, respectively.
