Abstract
The unique fauna of Gorny Altai contributes to the fact that today hunting and fishing, as well as in the early periods of history, remain one of the branches of maintenance of the region’s population. In this article we study hunting and fishing of the Russian population of the Altai Republic. In this research we used field materials of those informants for whom hunting and fishing are not professional but amateur activities.
